Just a question… but when we finally reach World Peace, is this what our planet will look like?
Our lost are the cost of war… laying down their lives for the possibility of Peace. That is what we’re told. But wait? Does that make any sense? That we are fighting… for World Peace? What does that even mean?
Maybe we can find another way around that matter. Really, we don’t want a world that’s just at peace. Not like in this picture, anyway. Beneath our exhaustion, most of us long to experience a world that is wild with joyful celebration. We hunger to live with the passion and fire in our hearts. We want to be the heroes of our own stories. Belly laughing with our favorite people. While we ride the highs and lows of Life.
We want the thrill of fear… but then the safe comfort after. And everything in between that engages our senses and makes us feel Alive. We dont want just Peace. We want Life!
You think that’s the same thing? Then why do we say Rest in Peace when someone dies?
And for how long now have we been feeling like the undead ourselves? Stuck on auto pilot… just going through the motions? Energy draining. Minds numbing. Memories being erased.
It’s time, maybe, that we breathe a little Life back into this place while we still can. You think?
We want to believe that World Peace is the goal for our future. Problem is, very few of us have the power to stop the wars waged by our countries. So what good are we? We feel powerless and resigned to a bleak future?
It’s true that most of us can not help with the goal of World Peace, so I suggest we make another goal. One we can all make a difference with.
Let’s… Bring… Back… Life! 🙂
What does Alive look like to you? Do something (legal and safe) that makes you feel Alive this week. See how many thrilling things you can dream up for later. In your quiet time, ride the thrill of those things in your imagination and they will grow your bravery.
It’s ok to start with small bursts of Life. Those count too. You can ease back into Aliveness at your own speed. Give yourself permission to practice Really Living as often as you can, though. Do it with your person. Make it a family game.
If we do it this way, we dont have to wait for our countries to achieve World Peace for us. We just begin Really Living.
And you know what? The Inner Peace that comes with that is what we were searching for all along.
So… Welcome to Life. As soon as you are ready… you may begin. 🙂
B, just B.
